A cold winters morning

when it gets really cold outside, there's nothing better then snuggling into somebody's bed and cuddling up.
and this is how we found our 2 dogs this morning, they like to do this especially when the weather gets extra chily during the night... well it got down to about 2 degrees and i dont blame my dogs at all. they look so warm and comfy.

then they figured out i was awake and taking pictures of them,

so its time to wake up!

we were late to the basset walk, so we had to run to catch up with the others.

basset puppies nov 08

ok ok... we have been very slack..but here are some basset pups from the nov 08 litter.
they were all sooo cute in their own little individual way... and now they are about 6 months old!!
And when we caught up with little rolf at the last basset walk..little rolf is not so little anymore... he is almost as big as mum!! (Bella!!)

so i was bored today and i wanted to go on to etsy to find some one of a kind cushions made in the shape of bassets. well i had no luck in finding those cushions, but i did find some other totally adorable bits and pieces for bassets. this little acessory is a basset first!

Its a hood that goes over the bassets ears to keep their ears clean while eating, drinking and other general basset mischief!

a very pregnant bella

my poor little bella has ballooned quite a bit - poor lil baby is NOT enjoying being pregnant - actually she hates being pregnant - shes gumpy, shes very very FAT, she waddles around and huffing quite a bit.

her boobs are massive and dangle here and there - i bet she can't wait to pop those lil bubs out- on the other hand, mum and dad are over the moon - shes our lil precious baby and we just want to know how many puppies are in there? we've been told from 2 puppies to possibly 10 or 12?!!
we dont really mind, we just want them all to be safe!

for some weird reason our dogs like to sleep in the smelliest, dingiest, grottiest place in the garden. its amazing how they "fit" on top of that box, and its even more amazing that they manage to fall asleep.

it was too cute... we couldn't resist...

Basset Walk at Tomato Lake

the basset walk in january 2008 was cancelled due to lack of attendance and a possibility of 35-36 degree heat. basses dont do so good in hot weather, they would rather be inside the house in air conditioned comfort. :)

so to make up for the hot weather, another walk as arranged for 3rd of Feb at Tomato Lake in Rivervale / Belmont. Here are some of the pictures from that day...
